Details of the Job/Internship

Hexnode is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 8-13 years of experience to join their office in Chennai.

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Strategy & Governance

Develop and implement a proactive legal strategy aligned with Mitsogo’s business objectives.
Oversee all corporate governance matters, ensuring adherence to national and international regulatory standards.

Contracts & Commercial Agreements

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements including:
SaaS contracts
Customer/vendor agreements
Licensing and partnership agreements
NDAs and service agreements
Manage contractual risks and ensure obligations are clearly defined and enforceable.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Transactions

Lead legal aspects of M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
Conduct due diligence and manage legal documentation and deal structuring.

Intellectual Property & Data Protection

Manage the protection of the company’s IP portfolio (patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets).
Develop IP strategies and ensure global enforcement of rights.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
Monitor legal risks and lead initiatives to minimize exposure, including data privacy and cybersecurity laws.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Oversee all legal disputes involving the company.
Manage external counsel and litigation strategy to achieve favorable outcomes.

Executive Legal Advisory

Provide legal insights and strategic counsel to the executive team on all business-critical decisions.
Represent Mitsogo in negotiations, regulatory discussions, and industry meetings.

Team Leadership

Build and lead a strong in-house legal team.
Foster growth, mentorship, and performance through structured training and development.

Legal Operations

Maintain accurate legal documentation and reporting systems.
Stay updated with legislative changes affecting the tech and SaaS sectors and ensure timely implementation of compliance frameworks.

Eligibility

Education

LLB from a recognized university (LLM/CS qualifications are a plus).

Experience

8–13 years of relevant legal experience in a corporate setting, preferably in the technology, IT services, or SaaS sector.
Demonstrated success in contract management, corporate law, M&A, IP protection, and cross-border legal compliance.
Prior leadership experience managing legal teams and overseeing legal strategy across multiple geographies.
