Details of the Job/Internship

Mitsogo is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 8-13 years of experience to join their office in Chennai.

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Strategy & Governance

• Develop and drive the legal function in line with corporate vision and strategic goals.
• Ensure compliance with domestic and international laws, including corporate and securities regulations.
• Provide legal guidance on corporate governance and board-related matters.

Contract Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including SaaS, vendor, licensing, NDAs, and partnerships.
• Ensure timely execution and risk mitigation across all contracts.

Mergers & Acquisitions

• Lead legal due diligence, structuring, documentation, and closure of M&A and joint venture transactions.
• Serve as a key legal advisor in strategic partnerships.

Intellectual Property

• Oversee registration and enforcement of trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
• Develop and implement IP protection strategies globally.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with local and international laws.
• Lead internal compliance initiatives and risk mitigation programs.

Disputes & Litigation

• Manage litigation strategy in coordination with external counsel.
• Represent the company in negotiations, regulatory matters, and dispute resolution.

Team Leadership

• Mentor and manage a team of legal professionals.
• Drive knowledge sharing, skill development, and high performance within the legal team.

Eligibility

Education

• LLB or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• LLM, CS, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience

• 8–13 years of legal experience, preferably within the IT/SaaS/Tech industry.
• Proven leadership in corporate legal functions, especially contract law, M&A, IP, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience managing global legal matters and cross-functional collaboration.

Salary/Stipend
