They are looking for an experienced legal manager. As a crucial advisor to internal teams, this position will support the expansion and innovation of the business while making sure legal risks are adequately addressed.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contract Negotiation & Commercial Transactions: Create, examine, and negotiate intricate contracts, such as those for software as a service (SaaS), licensing, vendors, and strategic alliances.
- Corporate Governance & Risk Management: Provide guidance on corporate governance issues, supervise entity management, and guarantee adherence to international business laws.
- Employment Law & HR Support: Coordinate with HR to oversee labor law compliance, workplace investigations, and employment rules.
- Product Counseling & Regulatory Compliance: Assist engineering and product teams in adhering to data privacy frameworks, AI rules, and technological laws.
- Data Security & Privacy Monitoring: Create and carry out data protection policies, oversee adherence to GDPR, Indian data protection legislation, and other privacy rules.
- Litigation Support & Dispute Resolution: Manage legal disputes, answer regulatory questions, and work with outside counsel on litigation issues.
- Cross-Functional Legal Strategy: Work together with the teams in charge of business, finance, sales, and compliance to match legal plans with corporate objectives.
- Process Improvement & Legal Operations: To increase productivity and risk management, create scalable procedures, legal templates, and policies.
Eligibility
- A law degree (LL.B. or its equivalent) is required; membership in the Bar Council is recommended.
- ten or more years of legal experience, ideally in the SaaS or IT industry, in corporate law, business transactions, and regulatory compliance.
- strong knowledge of data privacy laws, employment law, company governance, and contract negotiation.
- the capacity to balance corporate needs while offering smart legal counsel.
- Outstanding leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
- Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced workplace with exposure to international law.
