Details of the Job/Internship
Housr is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 4-5 years of experience to join them in their Gurugram office.
Role and Responsibilities
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including lease agreements, development agreements, vendor agreements, and NDAs.
- Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Execution and Registration:
- Assist with the execution, notarization, and registration of contracts to ensure legal validity.
Legal Notices:
- Draft and/or vet legal notices and prepare responses to any legal notices received by the organization.
Legal Operations:
- Manage legal operations and liaise with external legal consultants and advisors for expert guidance.
Legal Research:
- Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence on property titles, compliance, zoning regulations, and land use issues.
Dispute Resolution:
- Support the negotiation and settlement of disputes related to real estate transactions, ensuring favorable outcomes for the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and business development, to provide legal guidance and support.
Database Management:
- Maintain a comprehensive database and records of all agreements, KYC documents, and other legal documents.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all contracts are updated in accordance with the latest laws and regulations.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage legal risks across the Company’s pan-India operations, implementing strategies to mitigate risks.
Eligibility
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a legal role in commercial law or real estate, preferably with a start-up.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution; a Master’s degree (LLM) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of contract law and relevant regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proficient in legal research and using legal databases.
Salary/Stipend
