Details of the Job/Internship

IN10 Media Network is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 5-8 years of experience to join their office in Vasai. 

Role and Responsibilities

Contract Drafting, Vetting & Negotiation:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts across all phases of motion picture and OTT/TV content lifecycle, including:
• Above-the-line and below-the-line agreements.
• Production/co-production agreements.
• Rights acquisition and licensing.
• Marketing, promotions, NDAs, releases.
• Legal notices and responses.

Rights & Title Management:

• Review and verify chain of title for projects to assess and mitigate legal risks.
• Clear exploitation rights through script and content review.

Contract Execution & Workflow Management:

• Ensure timely and accurate execution of contracts without compromising legal standards or company interests.
• Coordinate with internal teams and Heads of Departments (HODs) to streamline deliverables and prioritize legal tasks.
• Maintain status reports of ongoing legal matters and contractual workflows.

Legal Research & Advisory:

• Conduct in-depth research on applicable laws including contract law, copyright law, arbitration, privacy rights, guild requirements, subsidies, and tax credits.
• Prepare internal notes, legal briefs, and updates on key legal developments affecting business operations.

Litigation & Dispute Support:

• Assist in legal dispute preparation, counsel coordination, and documentation for litigation, arbitration, or regulatory proceedings.

Independence & Leadership:

• Manage legal responsibilities independently with minimal supervision.
• Report directly to the Head of Legal for all legal and regulatory matters.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognized university; LL.M. is a plus.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in media and entertainment law.
• Strong knowledge of legal contracts in film, television, and OTT environments.
• Fluent in English with excellent legal drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to handle high-volume legal work in a fast-paced, dynamic media environment.
• Self-motivated with exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Salary/Stipend
