Details of the Job/Internship
Jumbo Homes is hiring a Legal Manager to join their Bengaluru South office. The role involves managing the end-to-end legal journey of property transactions, from due diligence to registration, ensuring a smooth and compliant process for both buyers and sellers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and vet key legal documents, including MoU, Agreement for Sale, Sale Deed, Gift Deed, POA, and Assignment Deed.
- Review and ensure the completeness of property transfer documents.
- Guide clients on TDS and stamp duty calculations and payments.
- Manage Encumbrance Certificates, Khata transfers, and utility name changes.
- Act as the single point of contact for buyers and sellers post-token payment.
- Coordinate with internal teams, banks, and external legal counsel to meet timelines.
- Conduct legal inspections and highlight red flags.
- Ensure compliance with RERA, stamp duty, and registration regulations.
- Mediate and resolve legal or documentation-related disputes.
- Maintain transparent and empathetic communication with clients.
- Ensure a seamless and compliant transaction experience.
Eligibility
- LL.B / LL.M from a recognized university.
- 3–6 years of experience in real estate legal operations, conveyancing, or property law.
- Strong understanding of property documentation, title verification, stamp duty, TDS, Khata, EC, and registration processes.
- Experience coordinating with banks, builders, or government offices for legal clearances.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
