Details of the Job/Internship

Kotak Mahindra Bank is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 4-5 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Attend and represent the company in legal proceedings related to Arbitration, DRT, Civil Recovery, SARFAESI Act, and other banking recovery matters (both secured and unsecured loans).
• Draft legal notices, pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents with a high standard of accuracy and clarity.
• Coordinate and liaise effectively with external legal counsels, law firms, and internal teams.
• Visit courts, lawyers’ offices, and customer locations as required for case follow-ups and hearings.
• Maintain and update legal MIS and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
• Travel to other locations as necessary to manage legal assignments outside Mumbai.

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.).
• Experience: 4–5 years of hands-on experience in corporate legal matters, preferably in banking and financial services.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Arbitration, DRT, Civil Recovery, SARFAESI proceedings, and other relevant legal frameworks.
• Excellent drafting and legal documentation skills in English.
• Proficient in court procedures and familiar with Mumbai’s legal and judicial environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective coordination and client handling.
• Willingness to travel for legal work and client meetings as required.

Salary/Stipend
