Details of the Job/Internship

LoanTap is hiring a Legal Manager to join them in Pune office. 

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Compliance:

  • Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance, particularly with RBI guidelines, Audit and other financial regulations.
  • Ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise management on the legal implications.
  • Must be aware of Unsecured Leading – Section 138, NI Act, Sec 25 (payment and Settlement)
  • Must be aware of Commercial Law & Customer Grievance Redressal 

Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the company’s interests.
  • Ensure all contracts are legally sound and compliant with the company’s policies.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential legal risks and provide solutions to mitigate them.
  • Advise on the structuring of financial products and services to minimize legal risks.

Liaison & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with key legal and regulatory bodies. 

Training & Development:

  • Conduct legal training for employees on compliance, risk management, and other relevant topics.
  • Stay updated on legal trends and best practices in the financial sector.

Eligibility

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is required. A Master’s degree in Law (LLM) or specialized certifications in Corporate and Financial law is preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within Banking and financial services or in-house NBFC.
