Details of the Job/Internship
Nagarsheth Group is hiring a Legal Manager with 5–7 years of experience to join its Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct title due diligence, ownership verification, and encumbrance checks.
- Handle Property Cards, 7/12 extracts, mutation entries, NA approvals, and NOCs.
- Manage land demarcation, conversion, and revenue hearings.
- Liaise with the Collector, Tehsildar, and Revenue Department offices.
- Draft, vet, and finalise development agreements, JDAs, JVs, MOUs, sale deeds, lease deeds, POAs, agreements for sale, allotment letters, and conveyance deeds.
- Draft and manage vendor, consultant, and contractor agreements.
- Ensure all documentation safeguards the company’s legal and commercial interests.
- Handle MAHARERA registrations, extensions, quarterly filings, and Forms A, B, and C.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, Architects, and Engineers for RERA compliance.
- Ensure RERA-compliant advertising and attend hearings when required.
- Draft replies to legal and statutory notices and manage correspondence with authorities.
- Attend government hearings, site inspections, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with advocates for revenue disputes, land-related cases, arbitration, and civil matters.
- Maintain litigation trackers with hearing dates and case status.
- Support the CEO, finance, sales, and operations teams on deal structuring, risk assessment, and project approvals.
- Proactively identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM degree.
- 5–7 years of experience in real estate legal roles.
- Strong experience in land and revenue laws, MAHARERA, government hearings, and real estate documentation.
