Details of the Job/Internship

Narayana Health is hiring a Legal Manager with experience of 9–12 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, structuring, and negotiation of commercial contracts and complex domestic and international transactions.
• Provide legal oversight for new business initiatives, including establishment of units or entities, M&A due diligence, and licensing requirements.
• Manage the organisation’s litigation portfolio, coordinate with external counsel, review pleadings, and maintain litigation trackers with periodic updates.
• Offer strategic legal advice balancing legal risks and commercial priorities.
• Oversee statutory compliance and support automation of compliance monitoring processes.
• Advise stakeholders on legal implications of business decisions and healthcare regulatory developments.
• Design and conduct internal training on legal risks, negligent services, and preventive measures.
• Update the organisation on evolving laws impacting healthcare and corporate governance.
• Collaborate with reporting managers to enhance legal practice standards and departmental processes.

Eligibility

• LL.B or LL.M qualification with 9–12 years of post-qualification experience in a corporate legal setup or reputed law firm.
• Proven experience in managing complex litigation and high-stakes contract negotiations, along with strong knowledge of corporate law, healthcare regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong communication skills, ability to influence senior stakeholders, familiarity with BI tools, Google Suite, document management systems, and experience in automation of legal or compliance processes are preferred.
