Navayuga Engineering Company Limited (NEC) is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 10-12 years of experience to join their office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide range of infrastructure-related contracts including EPC, subcontracting, joint ventures, and consultancy agreements.
- Ensure compliance with key legislation such as the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Contract Act, Labour Laws, and other applicable legal frameworks.
- Oversee ongoing arbitration, litigation, and dispute resolution matters by working closely with internal teams and external legal counsel.
- Identify and assess legal risks in commercial contracts, and develop actionable strategies to mitigate them.
- Advise Bid and Tender teams on legal clauses in tender documents, bid submissions, and pre-bid clarifications.
- Represent the company before courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Lead and mentor junior legal team members, contributing to their professional growth and legal competency.
- Keep track of evolving legal developments and circulate sector-specific legal updates to relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal databases, records, risk registers, and contractual trackers.
- Provide timely legal support to business units, senior leadership, and project teams across India.
Eligibility
Education:
- BA/BBA LLB from a recognized law school (mandatory)
- LLM with a specialization in Corporate or Construction Law (preferred)
Experience:
- 10–12 years of post-qualification experience in construction and infrastructure law, contract negotiation, arbitration, and dispute management.
- Extensive experience drafting and managing large-scale infrastructure contracts; familiarity with FIDIC contracts is an advantage.
- Proven ability to independently handle arbitration and litigation matters.
- Strong background in coordinating with external counsel and dealing with regulatory authorities.
