Details of the Job/Internship

NIIT Limited is hiring a Legal Manager with 8–10 years of experience to lead complex legal operations from its Gurugram office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft/vet wide-ranging agreements for managed training services, content creation, and learning technologies.
• Provide strategic advice on RFP responsiveness, highlighting legal concerns and providing critical queries.
• Offer pre-emptive legal advisories to various business units to mitigate potential disputes.
• Manage complex international transactions involving multiple countries and complex pricing towers.
• Ensure all deals comply with internal principles and global legal standards (GDPR, FEMA, WHT).
• Conduct in-depth research on legal propositions to support business decisions.
• Balance speed to closure with high-quality legal outcomes to meet leadership satisfaction metrics.
• Maintain a database of contracts and issues closed, ensuring efficient documentation and tracking.

Eligibility

• Mandatory: L.L.B degree from a recognized university.
• Preferred Institutes: DU, NLUs (Bhopal, Jodhpur, New Delhi), GNLU, BHU, AMU, etc.
• Experience: 8–10 years total, with at least 5 years in the Service Sector (IT/ITES preferred).
• Deep knowledge of the Contract Act, Permanent Establishment (PE), Withholding Tax (WHT), FEMA, GDPR, and Arbitration Law.
• Strong background in handling international contracts with high complexity.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and legal research engines.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle high-pressure deal closures.
