One Paper is hiring for the position of Legal Manager to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of agreements, including service, vendor, consultancy, employment, lease, and loan contracts.
- Ensure contracts align with legal standards, minimize risk, and support business goals.
2. Legal Advisory & Dispute Resolution
- Provide legal guidance to senior management on business strategies, legal risks, and regulatory compliance, including SEBI regulations, data protection, cybersecurity, and export control laws.
- Handle legal notices, and manage dispute resolution processes including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
3. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments; lead employee training programs on compliance.
- Monitor adherence to corporate laws, SEBI guidelines, and other evolving regulatory requirements.
4. SEBI & Regulatory Engagement
- Lead SEBI inspections, adjudication proceedings, and manage responses through SCORES and ODR platforms.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to coordinate timely and effective responses to regulatory inquiries.
5. Legal Operations & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of legal agreements, compliance reports, and internal policies.
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement process enhancements to ensure ongoing compliance.
