Details of the Job/Internship
PepsiCo is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Manager with 7 - 8 years of experience.
Role and Responsibilities
- Providing end to end legal support and guidance to the Beverage Franchise Team involving Category, Franchise and Finance team in critical documentation like EBA’s, BDA’s, JBP, Co-Op etc.
- Review Internal Approval Memos for appointments, transitions, terminations, key account agreements, multiyear deals etc, in line with SOA’s, highlighting legal risks and mitigations to ensure stakeholder allignment on legal risks.
- Provide legal support in all transactions involving Bulk Water business through appropriate legal due diligence, appropriate documentation like EBA’s, BDA’s etc, routine legal advisory etc.
- Support bottler documentation and governance in line with Global International Beverage Framework including fresh EBA’s, amendments, BDA’s, CMA’, Co-Ops, negotiation of clauses, working with Global IB team on roll out of specific templates/ clauses and routine bottler issues like bottler support, cooler support, concentrate pricing letters etc.
- Providing legal advisory, legal support in all documentation involving Key Accounts, E-Com, Modern Trade and Away from Home (AFH) teams by Franchise Team
- To provide legal support and guidance to Channo Concentrate Plant in all legal issues, imports related queries to ensure seamless operations and to help achieve Company’s ambitious target for volume growth in business.
- The role will also require continuous engagement with Plant teams for implementation of a structured Compliance program and compliance tracking through PwC software to ensure compliance with all applicable laws/regulations.
- Provide continuous support and guidance to Concentrate Greenfield Project teams in all activities related to consturciton and setting up of the Concentrate manufacturing plant within internally agreed timelines. The role will also be instrumental in establishing a statutory compliance tracking program for GF operations, including compliances under Licenses & Permits, with status update to internal stakeholders at agreed intervals.

- To manage all litigation related to Plant matters such as alleged Non compliance notices from PCBs, Factories Department, Labour matters and other operational issues.
- To provide appropriate legal notices after data collation from stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Work closely with C&E teams to provide legal guidance and support in COC Investigations and to imparting FCPA and Anti Bribery training to employees.
Eligibility
- Law Graduate with minimum experience of 7-8 years
- Excellent knowledge of Food and Packaged commodies laws and other laws applicable to food manufacturing operations
- Good knowledge of Competition Act and other laws applicable to an FMCG industry
- Experience in Litigation management.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Sound legal drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent network with internal stakeholders, external counsels, industry consortiums and other KOLs.
Salary/Stipend
Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
