Details of the Job/Internship
Pidilite Industries Limited is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with 6+ years of in-house experience in large-scale Manufacturing, FMCG, or Chemical industries.
Role and Responsibilities
- Litigation & Dispute Management:
- Manage cases under NI Act, Civil Money Recovery, Shares, Property, Labour, Criminal, Consumer, and other applicable laws across courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial bodies.
- Coordinate with external advocates and law firms handling company litigation.
- Develop litigation and dispute resolution strategies, SOPs, and cost-effective resolution processes, including out-of-court settlements.
- Monitor domestic and international litigation databases, SOPs, and MIS reports.
- Focus on customer recovery management, including debtor monitoring, demand notices, alternative dispute resolution, civil/commercial suits, cheque bouncing matters, and NCLT filings.
- Handle consumer litigation, notices, and complaints, ensuring favorable outcomes.
- Legal Business Advisory:
- Draft and vet agreements for factory and warehouse operations, property acquisitions, and business divisions.
- Support due diligence for property purchases, leases, and commercial transactions.
- Prepare guidance notes and manuals on laws applicable to manufacturing, warehouse, employment, and distribution operations.
- Ensure compliance, identify legal gaps, and implement remedial actions.
- Respond to legal or government notices and monitor compliance matters.
- Intellectual Property Laws:
- Enforce IPR via criminal and civil actions, including John Doe Orders and civil suits.
- Attend raids and support IPR team with trademark registrations, infringement, and passing-off matters.
- Support to Legal Head:
- Participate in divisional DRMs and provide updates on IPR and recovery matters.
- Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
- Implement legal clearance processes for various activities.
- Conduct legal research and advise on emerging legal issues.
Eligibility
- LL.B. required; LL.M. optional from a reputed Indian law school.
- 6+ years of in-house legal experience in large-scale manufacturing, FMCG, or chemical industries.
Salary/Stipend
