Details of the Job/Internship

Porter is hiring a legal professional with 4–7 years of post-qualification experience to support its international and technology-driven operations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for international business operations across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with global external counsel on litigation and local legal requirements.
• Manage legal aspects of international expansion, including structuring, licensing, employment contracts, and cross-border data transfers.
• Lead the corporate data privacy function and oversee data governance and ethical data use.
• Ensure compliance with data protection laws, including the DPDP Act, and implement data mapping and incident response frameworks.
• Manage vendor data protection through due diligence, contract negotiations, and ongoing monitoring.
• Oversee the protection, maintenance, and enforcement of the company’s global IP portfolio.
• Advise on employment law matters and compliance with labour regulations.
• Negotiate and review IT agreements, SaaS contracts, and vendor contracts.
• Advise stakeholders on legal implications of IT services, software acquisitions, and technology partnerships.

Eligibility

• Law graduate with an LL.B.
• 4–7 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• High ethical standards, problem-solving ability, and execution focus.
• Ability to contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
