Reliance Industries Limited is hiring a Legal Manager with 8+ years of experience to join their office in Navi Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of legal activities and ensure compliance of business operations with relevant laws and regulations.
- Counsel business operations by delivering proactive, professional, competent, cost-effective, and creative legal support. Anticipate and manage legal risks associated with business strategy and operations.
- Advise on the Indian renewable energy and power generation regulatory framework with a thorough understanding of key terms and conditions in PPAs, Joint Bidding Agreements (JBAs), Loan Agreements, Construction and Supply Agreements, EPC Agreements, and other typical contracts used in the renewable energy industry.
- Apply negotiation and drafting skills, along with business acumen, to work with multiple functional teams in a rapidly scaling business.
- Draft and negotiate simple and complex contracts related to renewable energy power generation projects, including but not limited to Term Sheets, Power Delivery Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, and Shareholders' Agreements.
- Advise on general business law issues and manage legal matters across all areas of the company, including corporate affairs, procurement, safety, security, insurance, and sustainability.
- Represent the department in coordination with the Group Legal department as required.
- Proactively create and maintain awareness among business employees regarding compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
Eligibility
- 8+ years of experience as a corporate legal advisor. Experience in the power, solar, or renewable sector is an added advantage.
- Proven experience as general counsel or in a comparable legal role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of law, including corporate, labor, and appellate law.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced law degree.
