Details of the Job/Internship
Sayyam Investments Private Limited is hiring a Legal Counsel – NBFC with experience of 5+ years to join their team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with RBI Master Directions and regulatory updates.
- Handle RBI inspections, correspondence, and supervisory observations.
- Draft and review loan agreements, sanction letters, KFS, guarantees, and related documents.
- Provide legal advisory on product structuring and credit policies.
- Vet customer communication templates and notices.
- Manage litigation including civil suits, arbitration, consumer disputes, and recovery matters.
- Coordinate with litigation firms and monitor case progress.
- Draft and review vendor, outsourcing, NDA, and technology agreements.
- Ensure compliance with outsourcing and data protection laws including DPDP Act.
- Conduct legal due diligence of service providers.
- Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Support Board and Committee matters and internal policy drafting.
- Coordinate with compliance and secretarial teams.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) – Mandatory.
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in NBFC, banking, or financial services sector.
- Experience in handling lending documentation preferred.
