Details of the Job/Internship
Shalby Hospitals is hiring a Legal Manager to join their office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle all civil, criminal, court cases, and arbitration matters of the company and group.
- Liaise with and brief external advocates and monitor litigations across courts and forums.
- Draft, issue, and respond to legal notices, including recovery and statutory notices.
- Draft and review agreements, MOUs, affidavits, letters, certificates, and other legal documents.
- Draft and review doctor agreements and other commercial contracts.
- Track execution, validity, and timely renewal of agreements.
- Ensure legal and statutory compliance of Shalby and the Shalby Group.
- File and monitor trademark applications and coordinate with advocates for updates.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to management on operational and strategic matters.
- Prepare legal MIS, reports, execution briefs, and presentations for periodic reviews with senior management.
- Verify advocate fee bills and maintain payment schedules.
- Represent the company before quasi-judicial authorities when required.
- Provide local legal liaison and compliance support to internal teams at various locations.
- Liaise with authorities and police departments for filing FIRs or complaints when required.
- Conduct periodic legal awareness and training sessions for management on applicable laws and regulations.
- Work closely and confidentially with leadership on critical matters, including M&A transactions.
- Attend courts and arbitration offices for commercial, contractual, and operational disputes.
- Attend police stations and other authorities when required.
- Ensure proper maintenance of court records, litigation files, and legal documentation.
Eligibility
- Strong knowledge of litigation handling, contract drafting, and legal compliance.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with advocates, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- High levels of confidentiality and professional judgment.
