Details of the Job/Internship
SRMB Steel is hiring a Legal Manager with experience of 8 years to join their office in the Greater Kolkata Area.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, including dealer, distributor, vendor, lease, and service level agreements.
- Identifying legal risks in contracts and suggesting amendments.
- Developing and maintaining standard templates for recurring business transactions.
- Managing and monitoring ongoing litigation across civil, criminal, and labour matters.
- Coordinating with external advocates and reviewing their drafts and submissions.
- Attending court hearings or tribunal proceedings as the company representative.
- Drafting and responding to legal notices, including Section 138 matters.
- Maintaining daily MIS reports on contracts, litigation status, and statutory deadlines.
- Maintaining physical and digital filing systems for legal documents and property papers.
- Ensuring compliance with corporate and statutory filing timelines.
Eligibility
- LLB.
- Minimum 8 years of corporate work exposure.
