Details of the Job/Internship

Svasti Microfinance is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 4-6 years of experience to join their office in Thane. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end legal recovery efforts for LAP accounts.
• Draft and issue legal notices under SARFAESI Act (Sections 13(2) and 13(4)).
• Handle cheque bounce matters under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and oversee court proceedings.
• Attend court hearings and follow up on legal case progress.
• Support internal collections teams with legal advice and guidance.
• Maintain comprehensive legal records and provide regular status reports.

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: LLB or LLM.
• Experience: 4–6 years in legal recovery, preferably with LAP or mortgage experience.
• In-depth knowledge of SARFAESI, DRT, and other relevant legal procedures.
• Strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal professionals and cross-functional teams.

Salary/Stipend
