Details of the Job/Internship
Syncarp is hiring a Legal Manager with 8–10 years of experience to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts such as client agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, SLAs and licensing agreements.
- Ensure contract compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
- Monitor adherence to local and international laws applicable to IT services.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures.
- Conduct legal audits and risk assessments.
- Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel.
- Represent the organisation in legal proceedings when required.
- Track regulatory changes impacting the IT industry and ensure compliance.
- Communicate legal updates to internal stakeholders.
- Manage and mentor a team of legal professionals.
Eligibility
- LLB; LLM or corporate law specialisation is optional.
- 8–10 years of experience, preferably in IT legal roles.
- Strong understanding of contract law, IT regulations, data protection and employment law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple legal projects and stakeholders.
