Details of the Job/Internship

Vahura is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with experience of 3-7 years to join their Mumbai office. 

Role and Responsibilities

Corporate Governance:

• Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
• Organize and manage Board meetings, including preparing agendas, minutes, and resolutions.
• Provide guidance to the Board and senior management on governance issues and best practices.

Agreement Drafting and Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including NDAs, Leave and License Agreements, TVC agreements, IT-related contracts, and service agreements.
• Ensure all agreements align with legal standards, regulatory requirements, and company objectives.
• Oversee the agreement closing process, including documentation management and compliance checks.
• Respond to legal notices and correspondence from authorities such as the police or labor offices.

Compliance and Legal Affairs:

• Monitor and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates of company policies to maintain compliance.

Record Keeping and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate statutory books, registers, and company records.
• Prepare and file corporate documents with regulatory authorities as required.
• Provide timely updates to the Board and stakeholders on corporate activities and compliance status.
• Manage an MIS system for internal task tracking and updates.

Risk Management:

• Identify and evaluate legal risks related to business operations and provide strategic solutions.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies and compliance programs.
