Details of the Job/Internship

Varaha is looking for a Legal Manager with 3-5 years of experience in carbon markets, environmental law, and corporate legal advisory.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate ERPAs, NDAs, service agreements, and sustainability-aligned contracts.
• Advise on investment structures, SPVs, IRR-related risks, and legal mechanisms.
• Ensure legal compliance with domestic and international carbon standards.
• Oversee legal aspects of fundraising, IP, data protection, and dispute resolution
• Monitor legal updates in climate, corporate, and environmental law.

Eligibility

• LL.B. (mandatory); LL.M. in Environmental or Business Law (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal team.
• Carbon credit frameworks (VCS, CDM, Gold Standard).
• Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
• ESG and climate finance.
• ERPAs, carbon credit purchase agreements, and investment structuring.
• Legal compliance, governance, corporate filings, and employment law.
• Managing external counsel and legal audits.
