Details of the Job/Internship
Varthana is hiring a Manager – Legal with 4+ years of experience to lead a team of legal officers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of legal officers to achieve targets.
- Guide the collections team to recover due amounts while maintaining proper conduct.
- Design and circulate MIS for all aligned processes.
- Conduct detailed background checks before appointing agencies.
- Ensure zero delinquencies through timely and effective collections.
- Draft communication and legal correspondence for delinquent customers.
- Track and send dunning letters to delinquent clients.
- Maintain relationships with lawyers and police officers, and represent he company in court.
- Follow up with panel law firms to ensure timely filing of cases.
- Appoint law firms at branch locations and allocate points for case filings.
Eligibility
- BA LL.B degree.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in filing Section 138 cases and understanding arbitration processes in NBFC or banking collections.
- Strong communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Knowledge of MIS and MS Excel.
