VAYUZ Technologies is hiring for the position of Legal Manager with 5+ years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements related to digital media operations, including content licensing, distribution, technology licensing, and partnership agreements.
• Ensure all agreements comply with Indian laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on copyright law, intellectual property rights, licensing requirements, and regulatory matters affecting the digital media and OTT sector in India.
• Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders on complex legal issues and emerging trends.
• Manage intellectual property rights, including copyright protection strategies and enforcement.
• Advise on content clearance, fair use, and licensing requirements under Indian copyright law.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on digital media and OTT operations.
• Develop compliance policies and strategies to mitigate legal risks.
• Support the management of disputes, claims, and litigation related to digital media and OTT operations.
• Coordinate with external counsel and stakeholders to resolve legal disputes effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corporate policies, procedures, and best practices related to digital media and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct training sessions and provide legal updates to promote awareness and compliance.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university; a Master’s degree or specialization is preferred.
• Admission to the Bar Council of India with 7 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing lawyer.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing agreements in the digital media sector, with strong knowledge of the OTT industry.
• Strong understanding of Indian copyright law, intellectual property rights, and regulatory frameworks applicable to the digital media and OTT sectors.
• Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
