Details of the Job/Internship

Walplast is hiring a Legal Manager with 5+ years of experience to join their Head Office in Navi Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide spectrum of commercial contracts, including vendor, sales, and distribution agreements.
• Provide day-to-day legal advisory to business teams to proactively identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Manage ongoing litigations and disputes, including the drafting and responding to legal notices.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and develop strategies for effective dispute resolution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and support statutory filings, licenses, and approvals.
• Work closely with plant and procurement teams to provide legal inputs on commercial tenders and agreements.
• Develop and implement internal legal policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
• Maintain a comprehensive repository of contracts and legal records with strict version control.
• Support internal audits and provide regular legal MIS reporting to the senior leadership.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Strong expertise in contract drafting, vetting, and complex negotiations.
• Proven track record in handling litigation, legal notices, and dispute management.
• Sound knowledge of corporate, commercial, and contract laws in the Indian context.
• Ability to work effectively in a head-office environment with multi-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
