Zolo is hiring a legal manager to join them in Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, vet, and review agreements, including Services Agreements, Lease Deeds, Operations and Management Agreements..
- Maintain precise documentation of all drafts, versions, and executed agreements in the legal repository.
- Conduct legal due diligence on properties, entities, and authorized signatories before and after agreement execution.
- Identify and escalate critical red flags to stakeholders to mitigate compliance risks.
- Prepare detailed research notes on topics such as fire safety compliance, lift and escalator standards, electricity connections, and legal requirements across states.
- Mentor and guide junior associates to enhance team productivity and ensure quality deliverables.
- Act as a primary legal contact for senior management, business heads, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) is mandatory.
- A Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M) is preferred not must
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in legal drafting, due diligence, and compliance (real estate sector experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in legal research tools and digital execution platforms like Leegality.
- Strong understanding of real estate laws, lease agreements, and corporate compliance standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle tight TATs (Turnaround Times).
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
