Deutsche Bank is hiring for the position of Legal Negotiator – Associate with 2-5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate master agreements, ISDA agreements, CSAs, CSDs, Listed Futures & Options Agreements, Client Cleared OTC Derivatives Addenda, Electronic Trading Service Agreements, and related documentation.
- Review constitutional documents and ensure all corporate approvals and consents are obtained prior to agreement finalization.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, business divisions, and clients on risk, deviations, and queries.
- Build relationships with internal teams and external clients to understand business operations and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and business requirements in all functions.
- Participate in documentation and process improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments affecting financial transactions.
Eligibility
- Law degree or Commonwealth-qualified lawyer/solicitor.
- 5.5–8 years PQE for Associate level (financial products or commercial contracts); 2–5 years for Senior Analyst level.
- Prior experience in derivative documentation preferred.
- Strong legal drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
