Aavas Financiers Ltd is hiring for the position of Legal Officer with 2-3 years of experience to join their office in Belgaum, Karnataka.
Role and Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage legal proceedings as per company policies.
- Review and provide legal approvals for property and loan-related documents.
- Coordinate with external legal vendors and ma.nage panel advocates
- Maintain and update Legal MIS and reports.
- Draft and vet legal documents and agreements.
- Provide legal advice on transactional issues, title verification, and documentation discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with internal legal processes and statutory guidelines.
- Support due diligence efforts during loan sanction and disbursement stages.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); enrollment with the Bar Council preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in the housing finance or NBFC sector is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of property law and title verification processes.
- Proficiency in legal consulting, document review, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and work within strict timelines.
