Details of the Job/Internship
Arab Monetary Fund is hiring a Legal Officer with experience of 7+ years to join their office in Abu Dhabi Emirate.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support in line with AMF objectives.
- Conduct legal due diligence for projects and ensure compliance with legal frameworks.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, agreements, and standardized legal documents.
- Advise on policies, procedures, and legal matters across departments.
- Prepare legal memoranda and provide legal training to colleagues.
- Liaise with external law firms and authorities for resolution of legal matters.
- Monitor regulatory developments and act as a point of contact for compliance concerns.
- Respond to KYC, AML/CFT, and compliance-related inquiries.
- Create and implement Financial Crime Compliance frameworks and policies.
- Recommend improvements to policies and processes for efficiency.
Eligibility
- LL.B., JD degree or equivalent with at least seven years of relevant work experience and bar admission in at least one jurisdiction.
- LL.M. desirable.
- Experience in a reputable law firm and/or international or regional financial organization preferred.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and other relevant designations such as FSRA/DFSA preferred.
- Excellent research, drafting, analytical and communication skills.
- Good command of Arabic and English.
- Proficiency in computer and legal research tools.
