Ascend Capital (Ascend Bizcap Pvt Ltd) is a rapidly growing NBFC headquartered in Jaipur, focused on commercial EV (Electronic Vehicle) financing. Co-founded by IIT and IIM alumni, they are at the forefront of the EV revolution and recently closed their Series A round to power their growth phase.

Details of the Job/Internship

Ascend Capital is hiring a Legal Officer with experience of 2 years to join their office in Lucknow.

Role and Responsibilities

• Attending court proceedings initiated locally across the state.
• Coordinating with police and other law enforcement agencies to execute summons and warrants.
• Filing criminal complaints against defaulting customers and complaints under Section 156(3) of Cr. P.C. in local courts.
• Managing execution proceedings in arbitration (Sections 17 & 9) and coordinating Lok Adalats and conciliation camps in respective locations.

Eligibility

• Qualification: A law graduate from a reputed institute/university.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year of practice in court.
• Industry Experience: Must have worked in an NBFC/Bank, specifically in collection litigation.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of recovery laws such as Section 138 of the NI Act, Arbitration, etc., and excellent communication and drafting skills.
