AsmitA India Realty is hiring for the position of Legal officer with 7-10 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, vet, and finalize Redevelopment Agreements, Development Agreements, Power of Attorney, and Tripartite Agreements.
- Conduct title verification and legal due diligence on properties.
- Liaise with housing societies, advocates, architects, and government bodies (SRA, MHADA, MCGM, etc.) for documentation and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with RERA, MOFA, DCR, MRTP Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Provide legal opinions on project feasibility, deal structure, and associated risks.
- Represent the developer in society meetings and negotiations.
- Draft notices, affidavits, undertakings, and legal communications as required.
- Coordinate with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings.
- Support internal teams with legal guidance during project execution.
- Maintain accurate and updated records and documentation for all legal processes.
Eligibility
- LLB / LLM from a recognized institution.
- 7–10 years of experience in real estate or redevelopment law (preferably on the developer side).
- In-depth knowledge of SRA, MHADA, Co-operative Housing Society Acts, and municipal regulations.
- Proven experience in handling multiple redevelopment projects from initiation to completion.
