Details of the Job/Internship

Atos Group is hiring an In-House Legal Counsel with experience of 3–5 years to join their office in Pune (Talawade).

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage litigation before courts, arbitration forums, and other dispute resolution mechanisms, both within and outside India.
• Draft, review, and finalise in-house legal notices, applications, and documentation related to litigations.
• Conduct litigation risk assessments and coordinate with external lawyers to develop appropriate legal strategies.
• Follow up with lawyers and update management information reports and litigation management tools.
• Coordinate with internal teams to collect documents and prepare for hearings, evidence submission, and interrogations.
• Travel to various jurisdictions and forums to attend hearings when required.
• Negotiate legal fees, prepare engagement letters, and ensure timely onboarding of lawyers.
• Monitor litigation-related expenditure and generate reports for provisioning.
• Conduct internal compliance audits and submit audit reports to local management and the group.
• Support and respond appropriately to external audits.
• Research case laws and new legislations applicable to the company and conduct training when required.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on business agreements including MSAs, SOWs, POs, NDAs, DPAs, novations, assignments, change requests, guarantees, declarations, undertakings, indemnities, and other legal documents.
• Participate in internal compliance committees and other nominated committees.
• Initiate and execute special projects to support improvements in litigation management and legal cost control.
• Coordinate closely with the legal team and contribute to teamwork for timely execution of projects.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer with an LL.B. degree.
• Three to five years of relevant corporate experience.
