Details of the Job/Internship
BitMart is hiring a Legal Officer with experience of at least one year to join their office in New York / New Jersey.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for global operations in the virtual asset and Web3 industry, including licensing, regulatory compliance, and data protection.
- Support corporate governance activities including entity formation and maintenance of statutory records.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements for product launches and strategic partnerships.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Analyze global regulatory developments related to digital assets and provide strategic legal guidance.
- Monitor changes in laws and assist in developing internal policies and compliance frameworks.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel for licensing applications and regulatory filings.
- Assist on other legal, regulatory, and corporate matters as required.
Eligibility
- JD or LLM degree required.
- Admission to a state bar preferred.
- At least one year of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Exposure to virtual assets, blockchain, fintech, or financial services preferred.
- Strong interest in digital asset regulations and Web3 developments.
- Fluency in Mandarin required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
