Details of the Job/Internship
Brakes India is hiring a Legal Officer with experience of 3 to 8 years to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting and vetting of all material commercial contracts, including Sourcing Agreements, Supply Agreements, Export Contracts, Land Matters, Lease Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, Service Agreements, Distribution Agreements and Customer Contracts.
- Handle General Litigations, legal notices and claims.
- Handle regulatory topics such as, Competition Laws, Legal Metrology and BIS.
- Assist in transactional matters such as, conducting and reviewing Legal Due Diligence, drafting, vetting, and negotiating term sheets, SHAs, SPAs and Purchasing Agreements.
- Proficiency in Company Laws and Corporate Governance.
- Handle matters related to information technology laws, data protection laws and Software Licensing.
- Manage the IPR portfolio of the company and draft and negotiate Technology License Agreements and Trademark License Agreements.
- Effective networking with external law firms and practitioners.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Laws/LLB (full-time) from a reputed institution.
- Must have a minimum experience of 3-8 years, working in-house (preference to automotive, manufacturing, or power sector) must have handled commercial contracts, litigations, and M&A transactions.
- Proficiency in digital applications and tools and have a sharp business acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
