Details of the Job/Internship
Cofinex Exchange is hiring for the position of Legal Officer with 7 years of experience to join their office in Kolkata.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as the Principal Officer under FIU-India requirements and serve as the primary liaison with regulatory and enforcement authorities.
- Ensure strict compliance with PMLA, FIU-India guidelines, AML/CFT policies, and applicable international standards.
- Oversee the monitoring, investigation, and reporting of Suspicious Transactions (STRs/SARs) within regulatory timelines.
- Develop, update, and implement robust AML/KYC frameworks across the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and train the compliance team to foster a culture of governance, accountability, and integrity.
Eligibility
- Mandatory: CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification.
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Law, Finance, Commerce, or related fields.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in AML, compliance, audit, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of FIU-India, RBI, SEBI, and global AML regulations.
- Experience in banking, fintech, or cryptocurrency exchanges is preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership abilities.
