Credila Financial Services Limited is hiring a Junior Legal Officer with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage all local and regional lawyers, including standard legal report formats, payments, liaison for title discussions, and periodic visits.
- Initiate legal reports and arrange reports from panel lawyers across the region.
- Initiate property valuations and arrange valuation reports.
- Vet original legal documents and sign confirming order.
- Proficient in legal recovery, including filing of Section 138 and CERSAI cases.
- Address exceptions related to property titles, missing documents, laminated papers, and other title checks.
- Liaise with customers and intra-departments for legal reports.
- Create standard formats for indemnity bonds and affidavits as required.
- Manage storage of lawyer and vendor agreements.
- Assist recovery team with property checks and legal recovery work.
- Handle registered mortgage processes as legal representative.
- Monitor annual compliance and RBI requirements related to property and regulatory frameworks.
- Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s legal rights.
- Maintain a tracker with updated case status for all legal cases.
- File civil/criminal complaints against customers, dealers, agencies, etc., in consultation with the head of the department.
- Attend regular court hearings and file Section 138 and CERSAI cases.
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM from a leading university in India.
- 3-5 years of domain and relevant experience.
- Sound legal knowledge of Code of Civil Procedure, Code of Criminal Procedure, Indian Penal Code, Companies Act, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (2016), SARFAESI Act (2002), Transfer of Property Act, Consumer Laws, mortgage lending laws, Negotiable Instruments Act, Payments & Settlement Act, Arbitration, and Mediation.
- Knowledge of lending, mortgage, real estate, securitization, and charge creation.
- Experience in strategizing legal actions on loan accounts, litigation, and legal proceedings under various laws.
- Strong negotiation, written, and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Team player.
Salary/Stipend
