Equitas Small Finance Bank is hiring a Legal Officer to join their office in Salem. This is a full-time, on-site role involving oversight of legal and regulatory compliance, providing legal consultation, preparing and reviewing legal documents, analysing laws and regulations impacting business operations, supporting contract negotiations, and managing legal risks to ensure adherence to applicable legal frameworks.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide legal consultation and advisory support.
- Prepare, review, and manage legal documents and contracts.
- Analyse applicable laws and regulations affecting business operations.
- Support contract negotiations.
- Identify and manage legal risks to ensure compliance with legal frameworks.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.
- Professional certification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of business law and legal consulting.
- Experience in legal document preparation and contract law.
- Proficiency in general law and its application.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly advantageous.
