Details of the Job/Internship
They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Officer to manage and
resolve criminal matters, including visiting local police stations, handling cases related to cyber fraud, and criminal complaints, and assisting in civil matters as required.
Preferred Attributes:
- Prior experience working with fintech, telecom, or similar industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with cyber laws and digital transaction regulations.
- Strong network with local police and legal professionals.
Role and Responsibilities
- Criminal Matters - Represent the company in criminal cases and coordinate with LEA.
- Compliance and Legal Representation: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to criminal proceedings.
- Case Management: Conduct detailed investigations of criminal cases involving the company.
- Advisory Role: Work closely with other departments, particularly compliance, to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel and consultants. Build and maintain relationships with local LEA and other stakeholders.
Eligibility
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB or LLM).
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in handling criminal matters, preferably with exposure to cyber fraud cases.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of criminal laws, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
