Details of the Job/Internship
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel to the leadership on academic, administrative, and operational matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, and agreements with external parties.
- Ensure compliance with state and central government laws, including UGC, AICTE, and other statutory guidelines.
- Represent the Indira Group of Institutes in legal proceedings, including disputes, litigations, and arbitrations if any.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and handle approvals and documentation.
- Develop and implement internal policies to mitigate legal risks.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting higher education institutions.
- Train and guide staff on legal matters and compliance requirements.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized university.
- 10+ years of experience in legal practice, preferably in the education sector or corporate legal department.
- Strong knowledge of Indian education laws, labor laws, and contractual frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
