Details of the Job/Internship
Marigold Banquets is hiring for the position of Legal Officer with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Contract Management & Drafting
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of agreements, including sales contracts, vendor agreements, lease deeds, and NDAs.
- Maintain a centralized repository of standard templates and executed contracts with version control and compliance tracking.
2. Legal Advisory
- Provide practical and strategic legal advice to senior management on business operations and policies.
- Interpret applicable laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure the company’s compliance and risk mitigation.
3. Compliance Management
- Ensure statutory compliance under various applicable laws including FSSAI, Labour Laws, Shops & Establishments Act, and Environmental Regulations.
- Liaise with external consultants and legal advisors for filings, renewals, and licensing obligations.
4. Litigation & Dispute Resolution
- Coordinate with external counsel on legal disputes, litigation, and regulatory notices.
- Prepare legal notices, responses, affidavits, and related documentation.
5. Risk Management
- Identify potential legal risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
- Conduct periodic internal checks to monitor compliance with legal obligations and contract terms.
6. Policy Development & Training
- Draft internal legal policies relating to third-party engagement, confidentiality, and contract governance.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions on legal compliance and regulatory changes for internal teams.
Eligibility
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- CS or LLM qualification will be considered an added advantage.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant legal experience in a corporate setting, preferably within hospitality, event management, or real estate sectors.
Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional drafting and verbal communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, corporate law, labour regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate under pressure.
Salary/Stipend
