The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is an All India Development Financial Institution and an apex Supervisory Body for overall supervision of Regional Rural Banks, State Cooperative Banks and District Central Cooperative Banks in India. It was established under the NABARD Act 1981 passed by the Parliament of India. It is fully owned by Government of India and functions under the Department of Financial Services (DFS) under the Ministry of Finance.

Details of the Job/Internship

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development invites application for the position of Legal Officer with 10 years of experience as Law/Legal Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks / AIFIs or atleast 10 years of combined experience as practicing advocate and Law Officer in the Legal Department of the Scheduled Commercial Banks/ AIFIs.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, verification, vetting of all types of legal documents relating to corporate/ large sized loans to other types of registered bodies (agreements, hypothecation deeds, guarantee deeds, tripartite MoAs etc.) 
• Interpretation of various statutes, legal documents etc. 
• Review of existing legal documents. 
• Establishing systems and protocols for legal monitoring and follow up within NABARD. 

Eligibility

• Age: 35 to 65 years.
• Enrolled as Advocate with Bar Council.
• Experience in handling legal documentation work relating to infrastructure / large bank loans.
• Experience in handling projects relating to Renewable.
• Energy sector will be given preference.
• Experience of atleast 10 years as Law/Legal Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks / AIFIs or atleast 10 years of combined experience as practicing advocate and Law Officer in the Legal Department of the Scheduled Commercial Banks/ AIFIs.
• A higher number of years of legal experience in the banking sector and varied types of corporate loans handled will carry higher weightage.

Salary/Stipend

Consolidated Remuneration (Rs. per annum.) -All inclusive Rs.24-30 lakh
