Details of the Job/Internship
DiligenceVault is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Operations Associate.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to devise efficient legal processes.
- Prepare, draft, and review various types of contracts, including vendor agreements, client service agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, and employment agreements.
- Communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Oversee governance matters and corporate record-keeping.
- Negotiate contract terms with external parties to ensure favorable terms and mitigate risks.
- Liaise with and supervise external counsel for outsourced legal matters.
- Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide advice to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters, risk management, and legal obligations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts and legal documentation.
- Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to address and manage them.
- Work closely with other departments, including sales, finance and HR, to ensure contracts align with overall business objectives and strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes that may impact the company.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in law;
- 2-4 years of experience in legal operations, corporate, contracts or in-house legal setting, preferably in the tech industry;
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles;
- Knowledge of SaaS contracts a strong plus
- Experience working in a global company and knowledge of privacy laws and US/European laws is a plus;
- Attention to detail and strong analytical and organization skills;
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Familiarity with startup operations.
