Details of the Job/Internship
Ascend is hiring for the position of Legal Operations Manager with 2 years of experience to join their office remotely.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee legal workflows, policies, and records to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
- Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and maintaining standardized templates.
- Monitor regulatory changes, identify risks, and provide proactive legal and compliance guidance.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external counsel, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless legal operations.
- Implement and manage legal tech tools (contract lifecycle management, e-billing, document management) and track KPIs, budgets, and reports for efficiency.
- Support litigation and arbitration processes, including coordination and preparation of documentation.
- Develop and update organizational policies and compliance programs; conduct training sessions for employees.
- Align legal operations with business strategy to optimize risk management and reduce costs.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) or related discipline required; LL.M. or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in legal operations, compliance, corporate law, or contract management.
- Strong understanding of legal processes, regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance.
- Proficiency in legal tech tools with strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
