Details of the Job/Internship
AkzoNobel is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Operations Specialist.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ongoing administration of legal entity data (director data changes, registration of changes to the power of attorney, registering office changes etc.)
- Acting as the first line of support for any enquiries on legal entity data for business users and Legal / Intellectual Property / Corporate Secretariat teams
- Drafting and reviewing simple ad-hoc entity board resolutions and corporate resolutions (templated)
- Supporting finance team with activities around managing statutory accounts for annual compliance
- Supporting onboarding of legal entity directors
- Periodical data quality checks and review of controls
- Project support for the implementation of new legal entity management system in 2025.
- Proactively work with paralegals, Corporate Secretariat and regional legal counsels to improve data quality and the processes around managing legal entities.
Eligibility
- Academic degree in business administration, legal studies or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in legal entity management, corporate governance, or a related field, preferably within a global or multinational organization. Alternatively, experience working as a (junior) paralegal or in a legal support role.
- Familiarity with corporate governance and compliance concepts, as well as general understanding of legal entities.
- Strong data administration skills.
- Experience in conducting data quality checks and maintaining data integrity.
- Understanding of the importance of compliance in managing statutory accounts and legal entity records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with business users, legal teams, and other stakeholders.
