Details of the Job/Internship
IndiaLaw LLP is hiring a Principal Associate with 6–10 years of experience to join their IBC and Banking Litigation team in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle litigation and advisory work related to IBC, including CIRP, liquidation, and restructuring.
- Represent clients before NCLT, NCLAT, DRT, DRAT, and High Courts.
- Draft pleadings, applications, replies, rejoinders, and legal opinions.
- Develop case strategies and manage litigation timelines.
- Coordinate with clients, provide updates, and deliver strategic advice.
- Support business development initiatives and identify new opportunities.
- Strengthen client relationships and expand the firm’s portfolio.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and ensure quality control.
- Collaborate with internal teams across the firm.
Eligibility
- LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognised university.
- 6–10 years of experience in IBC and banking litigation.
- Strong exposure to NCLT/NCLAT and DRT proceedings.
- Experience in client handling and business development.
- Excellent drafting, research, and advocacy skills.
- In-depth knowledge of IBC, SARFAESI, and banking laws.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
