Clifford Chance is hiring for the position of Legal Project Analyst with 4+ years of experience to join their office in Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
Commercial & Financial Support
- Prepare and analyze internal and external fee reports.
- Track workstreams, budgets, and forecasts to support project financial planning.
- Conduct profitability and leverage analyses, and track burn/run rates.
- Draft and circulate time recording guidelines; ensure client-specific billing practices are met.
- Review draft invoices and identify amendments.
- Monitor third-party and internal costs against estimates, highlighting variances.
Technical & Analytical Support
- Generate reports and dashboards using templates, SOPs, and in-house tools.
- Utilize firm tools such as CC Connect, KIRA, etc., for project data management.
- Improve matter processes by identifying opportunities and implementing custom tools or solutions.
- Ensure accessibility and documentation sharing with client and internal teams.
Matter Coordination & Project Management
- Attend matter team/client meetings; draft agendas and circulate actionable summaries.
- Support tracking of scope changes and contractual assumptions.
- Maintain working party lists, resource plans, action logs, and risk/dependency trackers.
- Help LPMs prepare fee estimates and manage timelines.
- Facilitate internal task assignments and track completion.
- Coordinate stakeholder communication, including distribution lists, absence planning, and documentation access.
Eligibility
Education
- Master’s degree or equivalent (Finance or Business preferred).
Experience
- 4+ years in a corporate/MNC environment, preferably within legal, consulting, or financial services.
- Proven experience in project coordination and financial reporting.
- Exposure to legal operations or project management software is advantageous.
Skills
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Pivots, VBA, Access preferred).
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills; dashboard creation experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Clarity PPM is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
- Understanding of financial KPIs such as net fees, profitability, recovery, and debt analysis.
- Tech-savvy, with a flair for legal technology tools and innovation.
- Interest in data storytelling and presenting insights effectively.
