Details of the Job/Internship
Clifford Chance is hiring a Legal Project Analyst with 4+ years of experience to join their team in Gurugram or Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare fee reports for internal and external clients.
- Track project workstreams and prepare budgets and forecasts using fee reports.
- Conduct analysis on leverage, profitability, burn rate, and run rate of projects.
- Produce reports using defined templates, SOPs, and tools for the matter team.
- Use internal systems and tools to support project management and improve service delivery.
- Work on Best Delivery tools such as CC Connect and KIRA for updating reports, managing access, and handling documents.
- Draft and circulate time recording guidelines for matter teams.
- Track internal and third-party fees against budgets and estimates.
- Review draft invoices and identify amendments where required.
- Attend matter team meetings and client calls, prepare agendas, and circulate action points.
- Track out-of-scope work and review timesheets submitted by lawyers.
- Monitor breaches of assumptions mentioned in engagement letters or contracts.
- Prepare resource planners and working party lists.
- Provide analysis using profitability dashboards to support decision-making by partners.
- Assist Legal Project Managers in organising and controlling project activities.
- Coordinate communication among internal teams and clients, including contact lists and document access.
Eligibility
- Master’s degree or equivalent; a finance background is an added advantage.
- 4+ years of work experience in a corporate or MNC environment.
- Prior experience in project management or project coordination with financial reporting or management.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of VBA and Access is preferable.
- Experience in dashboard and management reporting is preferred.
- Understanding of Clarity PPM is preferred.
- Knowledge of Power Pivot is desirable.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of financial terms such as net fees, profitability, recovery, and debt details.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Interest in technology and experience with project management software.
