Details of the Job/Internship

Finlaw Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is hiring a Legal Research Assistant to join their office in Navi Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal Consultancy: Support for domestic and foreign legal matters pertaining to financial crime, licensing, SEBI rules, FEMA, RBI, FIU, and other matters. 
• Cryptocurrency Legal Consultation: Leading experts in cryptocurrency legal advice, including international crypto firm legal structuring, Indian crypto firm registration, and international crypto firm operations in India.
• Online Gaming: Legal Advice for the Gaming Industry.
• Litigation: Ponzi scam-related white-collar crimes, such as those involving cryptocurrency, MLM, Forex, online gaming, cyber fraud, MSCS, SEBI CIS, and PMLA.

Eligibility

• Law bachelor's degree.
• A law degree (LLB or JD) is preferred for more senior roles, particularly in legal research institutes or law firms.
• Strong research skills: familiarity with legal databases (Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law) and a need to stay current on all the new legal developments, including those pertaining to cryptocurrency, gaming, forex, and market regulators.The ability to write quality articles is a must.
• Internships at legal research organizations, courts, or law firms.
• Paralegal or legal assistant positions to obtain practical experience.
• Legal academic research projects.
• Analytical Thinking: The capacity to decipher legal documents, statutes, and case law.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in interpreting and recording legal data.
• Writing Proficiency: Producing clear and succinct legal summaries, reports, and memos.
• Communication Skills: For delivering results to clients or lawyers.
